Early Life[]
Born as the eldest in the Carpenter family, from a young age she was ambitious and wanted to succeed in life. She is the elder daughter of Ashley Carpenter and Casper Carpenter and all three were born in London. She managed to become a rather good business woman and ended up going on season 5 of the show The Job. She managed to catch the attention of many men on the show who found her attractive but many found a loving lady who was an inspiration to them all. In the end however she got far but did not manage to win the competition.

Volume 30[]
Chris Coy is on a journey to go to an LTO conference where he is to speak but ends up getting lost and ends up in Grasmere Valley meeting Wilma Timber who chats away at him about all the soaps she likes and is delighted to find out he works in TV. She then takes him to the hairdressers as she continues talking to him to which is not most pleased with. He ends up meeting the likes of Daisy, Mrs Ambrose, Janet Herman as well as Regina and Christina. He soon finds out there that his LTO conference has been cancelled which he is rather sad about. He however soon caught sight of Marianna Carpenter whom he has feelings for and he really wants to impress her and also wants to ask her to be his badminton partner. In the end he ends up going to a telethon for Don Kennedy to get enough money to buy a house. As 23rd hours kicks in they don't have enough money but Chris Coy ends up shyly going on stage and begins to give the speech about LTOs which due to it being boring and for people wanting tit to be over they end p gaining enough money much to everyone's delight and he even proposes for Marianna to be his badminton partner which she gladly accepts.
She is responsible ultimately for Chris Coy to stay in Grasmere Valley as she has a keen interest in him and his ideas and Chris also is very much also seems to display some feeling for her.
Chris Coy settles in Grasmere Valley and plays badminton partnering with Marianna Carpenter beating Captain Poulet and Granny About to Die when Andy Holmes tasked to bring Chris back to save the data department back in London crashes in and ends up facing Chris to a badminton battle. Andy loses 72 games to 0 and says for Andy to lead the department instead of him which he is excited to and leaves. Later on the company not satisfied with this decides to unless Prabesh's Dog to try and get Chris which Wilma believes it to be a Yak!
Volume 31[]
She comes to Grasmere Valley in order to live.
She is present during the Mega School Reunion for Grasmere Valley at the golf club at Rose Park Heights. Aunt Carol laments that she wished Damian Burchens married Marianna Carpenter who is also there all the while Ruth Burchens as Marianna had briefly been in Year 10 with Damian.
Marianna ends up continuing to talk to Damian Burchens, Aunt Carol as well as Ruth Burchens, Mr Love, Chris Coy, DC Robins and Abigail Fed as they discuss as to their memories of Jotham with Marianna thought very glowing things about Jotham while the majority of the others who knew him mention how much Jotham was a merciless bully. Aunt Carol seems to be demeaning Damian should be a proper man like that of Jotham who was seen as a man going places as he had made it as a actor in Hollywood. They however end up encountering him at the reunion with his son Edgar. It turns out however Jotham's life which had once been looking at a Hollywood career was now beyond ruins with his wife Cariala left him and him being at the reunion with his son Edgar whom he is now looking after by himself. Ted is delighted by this but Jotham clearly ashamed by what had happened with his marriage and his career as an actor dried up. He soon ended up running away from the reunion.
After the big reveal of Veronica being fake, that she was played by Poppy Masters who ended up dying and DC Robins was part of the cover up, with him going to prison, Marianna who never really liked DC is really shocked however of the man he really was saying he didn't know him at all. She ends up joining in the clean up team to clean up the venue after the reunion. She is delighted to see two good friends of hers Jacob Beauchamp and Trudy Mint who were in all The Job reality show but in different season who comes also to help out with the clean up. When they finish in the earlier hours they go with Daisy leading them to La Vista to have a bite to eat. As they are there they hear a cry to which Aunt Carol really doesn't like it and wonders where is the noise coming from. As all those there are wondering what the noise is, It turns out it is Edgar who is there with Jotham as he is a waiter at the restaurant looking to make ends meet and his son there as no one else can look after him.
Volume 33[]
Marianna is having her birthday celebration at the business complex in Midwoodcote. Guests are giving her gift such as Chris Coy who really tries to impress her and get her to like him. But she ultimately ignores him as she pays more attention to Paul Brix who is clearly wanting to be with her. But before the celebration could continue, Robin Cross, Zeba and Miss Chalis barge into the the office and hold everyone there for ransom. Soon it turns out the entire business block has a bomb and they are ready to blow up the business complex.
She is among those who was falsely reported by Madame Neptune to be dead during the holding hostage of the business block.
Whilst being held up Paul Brix ends up being very rude and a brute to Marianna Carpenter who is distraught by the situation as well as her birthday being ruined while Chris Coy is the one who cares for her and comforts her. In the end due to Kirkie Kirkland bravery he managed by distracting the terrorists for all those who had been held hostage to be able to get out alive before the block blows up.
Volume 34[]
Her brothers Ashley and Casper come to Grasmere Valley in order to live and live with Marianne. Their aunt Jennifer Watkins and her husband Ched Watkins also comes to Grasmere Valley in order to live but don[t live with Marianna.
Volume 53[]
She is among those who watches Episode 5 of The Saboteur and she wonders what is happening in the show very intrigued by it.

Wilma Timber spreads the rumour around at the hairdresser's that Lamar's wife Chondra is about to pass away. This causes for Champaine and Ms Izodel to jump at the chance of being his next wife. Nanny Prescot leads the faction trying to find an alternate wife for Lamar just so he doesn't have to marry Champaine or Ms Izodel. Marianna ends up being one of the many candidates enlisted by Nanny Prescot as a potential second wife for Lamar and is presented to him along with the other women to try and combat against Ms Izodel and Champaine. Soon enough it is found out that Chondra is not dying and that Lamar is not on the look out for a second wife.
