Kathleen Dion

Former wife of an American Senator who when he lost dumped her for a younger wife to win more votes, who is now very much happily married to Ahmed Dion.

Early Life[]

Born in the States originally from Virginia, she grew up in a loving family wanting to have the white picket fence. When she met the idealistic Mark Washington. She fell in love with him and soon enough the two got married. Wanting to go into politics Mark became an American Senator as a Democratic. The two were known as a power couple with Kathleen doing everything to support her husbands campaign.

However Mark soon lost his role as a Senator and blaming it on his wife he decided to divorce her and ended up marrying a much younger lady Ameille who is known to be much more power hungry than Kathleen and he believes he will win being a Senator again.

Kathleen feeling really hurt, distraught she moved to England. She is a born-again Christian and ends up meeting during her time in the UK with Ahmed Dion, a younger model. The two fell in love, had a great courtship and soon got married. The two become a couple devoted to each other and really love one another.

Ahmed and Kathleen are among those at the play-offs supporting Grasmere Valley FC in their chance to get into the Premiership. However with the many setbacks and sabotage efforts of Grasmere Valley, Ahmed is among those not that hopeful they will win. Mariah Hawkins who is there however is trying to lifts everyone spirits and rally behind the team for them to see victory. In the end however Grasmere Valley FC are thrashed 150 to 1.

Volume 44[]

Joe Adams wants to find the person he believes is responsible for revealing the information of Joe Johnson past which caused for Shelly McIntyre to call of the wedding with him. He believes it was done so the relationship would be destroyed and he believes he may know who it is and goes to the hairdressers to find out. When he arrives Daisy, Mrs Ambrose and Janet Herman are all there working while Iola Rudolf, Bab Buller, and Kathleen Dion are getting their hair attended to with her loving husband Ahmed Dion beside her. Joe wishes he could have what Ahmed has with Kathleen with Shelly but he feels that ship has failed. As he gets talking with them, the ladies inform Joe much to his surprise that Mary Bay who revealed all the stories on the paper had been fired after causing for Joe Johnson to go into the mental institution and printing items that wasn't news as it was old news. Joe mentions he believes Marky Keats was responsible which they all find surprising as he had treated Shelly terribly when they briefly dated. Iola loving the gossip remarks that he was dating Rachel Haslam which had happened soon after both of them didn't get to marry their respective partners for money as Nigel Crump had arranged. However Bab remarked Marky's relationship with Rachel also ended. Marky ends up appearing at the hairdresser and reveals he was indeed responsible of releasing Joe Johnson's past much to everyone's shock. Iola had wanted to see more of what it's happening between them but Joe and Marky walk away to have a conversation with just the two of them.

Kathleen and Ahmed are among those at Daisy's house watching the first episode of The Saboteur. Kathleen makes a point while she has been hurt by men, that there are definitely good men around which she refers to her husband and she snuggles up to him.

Episode 193 I Feel For You[]

Daisy and Nanny Prescot had finished talking and chatting to Kathleen Dion and Ahmed Dion as Daisy attended to Kathleen's hair. As the couple leave Daisy and Nanny Prescot remark how despite the two being so different, they truly love each other and especially after Kathleen's husband dumped her Mark Washington for Ameille, that Ahmed really helped Kathleen and gave her true love that Mark never did. Nanny Prescot and Daisy see Mark as a dog who blamed Kathleen for losing his Senator seat and she dumped her due to his political ambitions as well as wanting to be with a younger woman. As they leave, Mark appears wanting to get Kathleen back referring to her as his wife and in fact he is no longer with Ameille. The ladies are not impressed and see he is up to something. They also mentions she is married now and they don't want him to ruin her marriage to try and get her back. Mark tries to act he really cares for her, that he had been wronged wanting all the sympathy and that he is in Grasmere Valley to win her back. However he soon get's a call from Richard Hyeman which exposes the fact he is part of the cabinet of Prime Minister Hyeman an old friend and that he is really around for his political career. The ladies see right through him and do their best to stop seeing Kathleen but Mark leaves determined to find her.

Episode 236 I Was Just Trying to Save The World[]

When Mark Washington tries to justify his sin and adultery on stage with Mark trying to see Kathleen who he calls his wife, Nanny Prescot remarked since he left her she got married to Ahmed and that he was in fact the love of her life.
