Early Life[]
Born in West Sussex, Claire had a very good childhood growing up showing herself rather clever and intelligent but also pleasant and nice. She is one of the few who warm to Mary Bishop and genuinely takes an interest in her not declaring her to be boring or a bother. Mary also is fond of Claire and treats her in many ways as if she was her daughter. Claire decides to live with her aunt and help her out and moves to Grasmere Valley to do so.
